Getting Started with Tuney

Nov 11, 2024

Welcome

Welcome to Tuney! We're happy to have you here. This guide will walk you through the key features of the platform and how you can create, remix, and explore music using Tuney.

What is Tuney?

Tuney is a browser-based generative music platform. Tuney's AI understands how to assemble human created stems and loops into finished tracks. Unlike AI music generators that create completely new tracks from training data, Tuney uses high-quality loops produced by artists worldwide. As a result, you will see artist credits for each track you generate. You can also explore artists, listen to their sounds, and discover the tracks they're featured in.

The Create tab allows you to choose between three unique ways of creating music using Tuney.

Remix a Song

Upload a full track with vocals to generate unique remixes. Tuney’s Beat Swap technology will extract the vocals, analyze the track, and create fresh remixes in different genres. Upload songs by connecting your SoundCloud library, or upload files from Dropbox or your computer.

Once the track is uploaded, you can specify the genre of the remix by clicking "Generate more" at the bottom of the results page.

For more detail on how this feature works, read the Remix a Song article.

Create Using a Prompt

You can also generate tracks by simply describing what you want using natural language search (prompting).

Or, switch to tag based search on the left side of the search bar to use filters like genre, mood and tempo.

For more detail on creating a song using prompts, check out the Create a Song article.

Upload a Loop

With our newest update, you can now upload loops of any instrument to create remixes and variations. For best results, upload a loop that is 10-30 seconds long. Tuney will analyze the loop and generate creative variations for you to explore.

For a full guide to uploading loops, check out the Upload a Loop article.

Editing

Once you have generated a track using any of the three Create options, you can customize your song by pressing the Edit button on the bottom right corner. For more detail on Tuney's editing options, read the Grid View Editor article.
